We all know how annoying it can be to develop your French. Whether you feel you’re falling behind, or just want to improve your comfort level with speaking or writing, these tips will help you!

  1. Duolingo

You’ve definitely heard this tip before. Whether with math, chess, or languages, you most probably have used it before too. While it should not be your only resource, Duolingo is a strong foundation for consistent practice. It is a great tool to build easy daily practice, which helps a lot when learning a new language.

  1. Le News, In Easy French

This daily newsletter summarizes current events in simple A2-level French, making it ideal for learners. Each email includes three short news stories, a glossary of more difficult words, and a full English translation at the end. It is especially helpful for improving reading skills and building real-world vocabulary.

  1. Watching Shows In French

One of the easiest and most enjoyable ways to improve without it feeling like homework. Start by using English subtitles so you can follow the story, then switch to French subtitles as you get more comfortable. This helps you connect spoken words with how they are written. You will also pick up natural expressions, slang, and pronunciation that you wouldn’t learn in class. Just watching one episode a week can make a noticeable difference over time.

Remember, when learning a language, consistency will help you improve more than cramming for a test the week before. So pick a method that works for you, and stick with it!
