What If We Woke Up Ruled By Duck Lords?
What if we woke up and ducks ruled LGCA? The morning would start normally until you walked through the doors and saw ducks waddling around the hallways like they had always been in charge. Lockers would be open since ducks don’t have hands, so they’d just stare at you expectantly until you opened them for them. Everyone would be whispering, “Is this real?” while trying not to laugh as a duck patrolled the hallway like a hall monitor.

Then imagine the announcements coming on. Instead of the usual voice, it would just be loud quacking over the speaker. A very serious duck would stand beside Mrs. McCullough, who would somehow be calmly translating: “The ducks would like everyone to walk quietly and not run in the halls.” Students would try so hard to be respectful, but the moment a duck waddled into a classroom and hopped onto a desk, the whole class would lose it. Even teachers would be trying not to laugh while still pretending everything was completely normal.
Classes would go on mostly as usual, but everything would feel a little strange. Students might try to pass notes while a duck waddled by, quacking loudly as if it understood every word. A math class would be interrupted by the occasional feather landing on a desk, and someone would inevitably joke, “Looks like the duck thinks my work is wrong.” Lunch would be hilarious, kids competing to toss bread to the ducks without getting pecked.
Finally, at Chapel, Mr. Reid would step up to the microphone with a straight face while a group of ducks stood behind him like a council trying to summon something out of the ground. He’d probably say something like, “Students, please welcome our new leadership,” and the ducks would all quack at once like they were giving an important speech. At that point, everyone would realize school would never be boring again. Homework might stay the same, but now you’d always have to wonder if a duck was about to waddle into class and silently judge your work.
